En enero 2025, en Lyon, Francia, un equipo de chefs mexicanos se prepara para representar a nuestro país en la final del Bocuse d’Or, el concurso mundial más reconocido de cocina. Estos talentosos chefs están pidiendo tu ayuda para cubrir los gastos del viaje y demostrar la riqueza de nuestra gastronomía.

Equipo de Chefs Mexicanos

El equipo mexicano está conformado por el chef con estrella Michelin, Carlos Gaytán, Diego Vargas Mejia, Marcelo Hisaki, Cecilia Palma, Antonio Mortera, Ruffo Ibarra, Alfonso Inglés, Reyna Venegas, Oliver Seki y Jairo Villalvaso. Estos chefs están dispuestos a poner en alto el nombre de México en el escenario mundial de la cocina.

El equipo es originario de Baja California, un estado que ha recibido tres estrellas Michelin y 22 recomendaciones en la primera edición de la prestigiosa guía. Entre ellos, el restaurante Amores, dirigido por Marcelo Hisaki y Reyna Venegas, destaca por su calidad culinaria.

Donaciones a través de GoFundMe

A través de redes sociales, los chefs han lanzado videos pidiendo apoyo a través de la plataforma GoFundMe. Además, han puesto a la venta gorras y mandiles oficiales para recaudar fondos. Cada compra y donación es importante para ayudar al equipo a representar a México y mostrar su talento culinario.

Hasta la fecha, se han juntado 2 mil 170 dólares de los 6 mil dólares objetivo. Las primeras 100 personas que donen mil dólares o más recibirán un boleto de entrada general para el evento final del Festival de Vino y Comida de San Diego.

Logros Anteriores

En junio pasado, el equipo de México, liderado por el chef Marcelo Hisaki, ganó la medalla de bronce en el Bocuse d’Or Américas 2024. Esto les dio la oportunidad de competir en la final internacional en Lyon, Francia, en enero 2025.

En la justa continental, Estados Unidos obtuvo el primer lugar, liderado por la chef Stefani De Palma y su aprendiz Bradley Waddle. Canadá se hizo acreedor a la medalla de plata con los chefs Keith Pears y Joseph Mongilo. Chile y Colombia ocuparon los lugares 4 y 5, respectivamente.

In Copsidas' view, technology now allows LPTV/Class A/Translator stations to increase their ERP while still keeping their signal within the licensed contour.
