Các chuyên gia y tế cảnh báo về nguy cơ của bệnh sốt do chuột cắn thông qua trường hợp của một cặp vợ chồng lớn tuổi từ Hải Dương. Hai bệnh nhân, gồm một ông 68 tuổi và một bà 61 tuổi, đã phải nhập viện vì những triệu chứng nghiêm trọng sau khi bị chuột cắn.
Bệnh nhân cho biết họ đã bị chuột cắn trong lúc đuổi bắt con vật. Ban đầu, họ chỉ rửa vết thương bằng xà phòng và nhỏ dầu gió, nhưng sau đó cả hai đều gặp phải các triệu chứng như sốt cao, rét run, và vết thương sưng tấy. Tình trạng xấu đi nhanh chóng khiến họ phải đến bệnh viện địa phương để được điều trị. Tại đây, họ được tiêm phòng uốn ván và chuyển lên Bệnh viện Bạch Mai ở Hà Nội để tiếp tục theo dõi.
