วันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2567 ณ.วิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษากรุงเทพธน รศ.ดร.ดวงฤทธิ์ เบ็ญจาธิกุล ชัยรุ่งเรือง สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎร เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันกีฬาภายในวิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษากรุงเทพธน. มีดร.สุเมธ ริดหมัด ดร.วโ罗德ม ศิริสุข นายสุปรีชา บุญประเสริฐ อ.เจริญรัตน์ ล้อมพิทักษ์ ร่วมเข้าชมการแข่งขันกีฬาและให้กำลังใจทัพนักกีฬาในโอกาสนี้ด้วย. นักกีฬาทีมชาติไทย ซึ่งเป็นนักกีฬาของวิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษากรุงเทพธน ได้นำกล่าวคำปฏิญาณตนต่อประธานในพิธี.

The Lunar Remastered Collection is a true gift to RPG fans. Bringing an amazing series from the early 90s to modern consoles in spring, it's filled with fully animated cutscenes and a challenging journey. I fell in love with Lunar 2: Eternal Blue on the PlayStation in 2000. The original series launched on the Sega CD in 1992 and 1994 respectively. It's a must-play for those who love the genre.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is another exciting title. As a lifelong Pokémon fan, I was a big fan of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in 2022. Despite hardware limitations, it offered a fun and refreshing take on the adventuring experience. With rumors of the Switch 2 console on the horizon, I hope this is a release for the upgraded system.

Jordan's Selections

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is a long-awaited update for an older game. It's easily one of the best games of the Wii U era and holds the top spot in the Xenoblade franchise (even as a spinoff). I can't wait to enjoy this game again on the Switch.

Dune: Awakening has me fully prepared to lose hours/days of my life. I've never been huge on MMOs, but everything about this game has my hype in full gear. It's DUNE, which rivals my love for Star Wars.

Ghost of Yōtei is a great example of PlayStation taking risks. It's not a simple follow-up but moves the story down the timeline and introduces new characters and a story. It's one of PlayStation's best games.

Becky's Favorites

Little Nightmares III builds on the concepts of the first two films. After several delays, I'm excited to see how it progresses. The option for one-player co-op or playing with a computer helper is a great addition.

Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is the sequel to Ender Lilies. It looks absolutely beautiful and I'm looking forward to exploring it and trying to master the combat.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII keeps reinventing itself. In this day and age, that's impressive. I have no trouble recommending this game.

Ryan's Choices

Tales of Graces f Remastered on the Switch is an extremely solid entry in the Tales series. It's full of political intrigue and real-time combat that might throw some JRPG fans off, but it's a hidden gem worth uncovering.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 combines the best of Persona with unique real-time mechanics. It's the first game from developer Sandfall Interactive and I'm ready to give them a shot.

Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment takes us to a medieval world of sword-and-sorcery. Set in the world of their Pillars of Eternity series, it looks like a must-play.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a highly anticipated fighting game. As a Cinelinx fighting game fanatic, I've been waiting for this since the first trailer. It looks fast-paced and fun with a less steep learning curve.

Dustin's Picks

Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta Snake Eater is one of the most memorable games in the series. The remake looks incredible and I'm excited for a new generation of gamers to experience it.

Judas has the art design of Bioshock and looks like a great new IP. It could also ignite the fire for Bioshock 4, which we've been waiting for forever.

Tormented Souls 2 is a classic horror game with incredible polish. The first game did everything so well and the second one looks ready to go.

Bleach: Brave Souls is a fun fighting beat 'em up game. As a Bleach fan, I can't resist giving it a try.

Unraveling the Financial Woes of Gen X Parents and Their Kids

Financial Planning and Its Importance

Financial planning plays a crucial role in the lives of Gen X parents. It involves budgeting, expense tracking, and profit and loss analysis. Spreadsheet software becomes an essential tool in this process, helping them manage their finances effectively. With rising education, housing, and healthcare costs, having a well-thought-out financial plan is more important than ever. For example, Natalia Gdovskaia's photo captures a moment where financial planning is at the forefront. Adinah Caro-Greene, an employee benefits broker, has seen how these costs have created economic challenges for her Gen Z son and his peers. Part of her long-term financial goal is to fully pay off a rental property that he can inherit and potentially live in. "It's uniquely hard for kids now," she says. "Seeing how hard it is for my son's generation has motivated me to do what I can."

The "Sandwich" Generation Dilemma

Gen X is often referred to as the "sandwich" generation, facing the financial pressures of supporting both parents in retirement and kids as they come of age. Most Americans are dealing with runaway inflation following the pandemic, but Gen X parents are particularly focused on whether their kin will be able to make it without monetary aid. Tom Thiegs, family wealth coach at U.S. Bank's Ascent Private Capital Management, points out that Gen Xers have grown up in less-than-ideal economic conditions, witnessing four of the five largest stock market crashes in history. They were among the first to mainly use 401K plans for retirement instead of pensions. Now, they are questioning if Social Security and Medicare will be around long enough for them to benefit from the systems they supported throughout their adult lives. Thiegs says his clients are "worried" but not "paralyzed." They have been through economic downturns before and have a mindset of being ready to handle unexpected situations. "It's not just all doom and gloom for Gen X," he says. "There's also this understanding that we'll be able to figure it out."

The Bank of Mom and Dad

Caro-Greene notes that it's common among parents she knows to give money to their young-adult children, especially in the high-cost San Francisco area. A Savings.com survey found that parents offering financial support to their kids are shelling out an average of $1,384 per month. For Gen Z offspring, this figure jumps to $1,515. Marguerita Cheng, a mother and certified financial planner, says there's a question of how long and to what extent parents should be footing the bills for their kids into adulthood. "I would never tell you not to help your child," she says. "But it's important to have boundaries or limitations to giving." Cheng advises parents to avoid depleting their savings and struggling in retirement while helping their children. She also suggests removing the stigma around discussing money and decisions like living at home after college. For those with the means to help, clear guidelines can be useful, such as setting a cap on how much money to give or distributing funds incrementally over a predetermined timeframe. Given Gen X's experiences, Thiegs finds that this generation thinks differently about their dollars and how to use them, including considering their children and other family members in the equation. "They've broadened into a more holistic view of money," he says. "It's not just balancing your checkbook, but also understanding what, long term, do I want for my life."
