On January 10, the city issued a construction permit for a new two-story, 18,500-square-foot structure in right field, valued at $11.5 million. This development follows the approval of a separate renovation project worth $1.56 million for the Home Plate Club. The renovations aim to enhance fan experience by introducing modern amenities and facilities. Birken Construction Inc., based in Jacksonville, has been contracted to oversee these improvements. Project Next, a $31.8 million initiative fully funded by the city, will transform various aspects of the ballpark, including the videoboard, club spaces, and entrance areas. The upgrades are set to be completed in phases, with full completion expected by the start of the 2025 season.

The new right-field building represents a significant step forward for VyStar Ballpark. Designed by OSPORTS Sports & Entertainment Architecture, this state-of-the-art facility will feature a merchandise store, hospitality area with views of the playing field, commercial kitchen, storage, and administrative offices.
