In the golden hues of an autumn night, around 10:52 p.m., tragedy struck on Central Florida Parkway, east of Whitley Place. A 2024 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound in the outer lane when it was approached by a 2024 BMW M2. The BMW, driven by a 26-year-old man from Orlando with a 23-year-old female passenger, attempted to overtake the Camry, which carried a 20-year-old driver from Kissimmee and two passengers—a male from Windermere and another unidentified individual.
As the BMW tried to re-enter the outside lane from the inside lane, its right side collided with the left side of the Camry. This impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and onto the south shoulder. The Camry's front struck a light pole before careening into several trees.
