Mount Mary's UX Design Pioneering Healthcare with AI

Galilea Jrnica: Leading the Way with "Culturabot"

UX Design student Galilea Jrnica is making remarkable progress with the creation of "Culturabot," an AI tool specifically designed to assist healthcare professionals during patient treatment. This tool addresses the culture gap that often exists between doctors and patients from different backgrounds or those with language barriers. As Jrnica explains, "Understanding them a bit more, with something that you may not be familiar with just because you don’t identify with that culture, you haven’t had experience, but you want to help them in the best way you can." This innovative tool has the potential to enhance patient care and improve communication between healthcare providers and patients.

Jessica Meissner: Expanding Reach with Chatbot

Occupational Therapy Doctoral student Jessica Meissner is leveraging the chatbot to better serve her patients and expand the scope of her coursework. She believes that having resources that help understand different aspects of each client is the best way to ensure every patient feels like an individual. This shows how AI technology is being integrated into various aspects of healthcare to provide more personalized and effective care.

Mount Mary's UX Design Impact in Advanced Technology

Mount Mary's UX Design major is leaving a lasting imprint in advanced technology. As AI continues to grow and user experience advances, Burton's reminder holds true: "Technology doesn't lead humans, humans lead how technology is used in their day-to-day lives." This emphasizes the importance of human-centered design in the development of AI and technology, ensuring that they serve the needs of humanity.Talk to us:Hey there!
