Putnam County

On State Route 65, two lanes in both directions will remain open throughout the project. The reopening of Sycamore St. is now estimated to be on or near December 13. The detour via SR 12 to SR 65 and back to Sycamore St. is in place.

Van Wert County

U.S. 30/U.S. 224 ramp pavement work will close the eastbound exit ramp to U.S. 224 westbound on Tuesday, November 26, for approximately one day for pavement milling to increase friction.

The U.S. 30 rest areas between State Route 49 and U.S. 127 closed on January 11 for approximately one year for complete reconstruction of the buildings.

Converse Roselm Road and Stripe Road over U.S. 30 closed in May due to damage caused by an over-height vehicle. Repair is underway, and the overpasses are expected to reopen in early November. U.S. 30 is restricted to one lane through the work zone.

The median on Mendon Road and Boroff Road is closed, and traffic is restricted to right-in/right out movements only. Stripe Road overpass reopened on Saturday, October 26, and Converse Roselm Road reopened on Thursday, November 14.

U.S. 127 northbound under U.S. 30 will be restricted to one lane the week of November 18 and November 25 for tile installation.

State Route 81 Reconstruction

State Route 81 between Willshire Eastern Road and Harrison Willshire Road, just east of the village of Willshire, may have temporary traffic impacts for finish work on the project to raise the roadway profile and replace two culverts. Visit the project webpage: PID 110498.

Leeson Avenue Reconstruction

The reconstruction of Leeson Avenue, from Shannon Street (State Route 118) to Rose Drive in Van Wert, began in February. Due to material shortages, the project timeline has been extended into 2025, resulting in delays.

Construction will continue until the weather no longer permits and resume in the spring. The project includes the replacement of curb and gutter, upgrades to the storm sewer, and the installation of a multi-use path on the north side of the roadway.
